We did it folks, we made it through the first week of 2018! There are so many new products I’m dying to try this year, and you should too if you haven’t. It can be like a product journey we can go on together πŸ™‚ I’m excited to say that I have already treated myself to some of these products, and I cannot wait to try them out and let you know what I think!

I think it’s safe to say that Glossier. is hands down the most aesthetically pleasing brand out there. Their marketing and branding is ON POINT because I’ve been wanting to try everything on the website for so long. I recently decided to treat myself with my Christmas/birthday money and try some things out! I purchased the Glossier Phase 1 Set,Β the adorable Cloud Paint, and the impressively shiny Lip Gloss! I cannot wait for these products to come in so I can test them out and let you know what I think!! I’m hoping for some new holy grail products πŸ™‚

A few weeks ago I got an email from the sweetest lady, Mengju, the owner and creator of The Brush Bar. Before she reached out to me, I had never heard of the brand before. I am so glad she reached out to me though, because I think it is such an awesome concept! Essentially, the brush bar is a tool to make cleaning and drying your makeup brushes 10 times easier. I’m about to get real gross and honest up in here and admit that I NEVER clean my makeup brushes. I know, it’s a sin and uber disgusting but I honestly never feel like it or think about it! The Brush Bar makes it so easy to clean your brushes, and store them afterwards. To be completely honest, the first time I tried the brush board I wasn’t 100% sold. It took me a while to get my brush completely clean, but that was only because I’m a grosso and never cleaned it before. I wasn’t sure if it would be able to clean my dingy brushes, but low and behold – it did! I tried it with some more brushes, and I became a believer. The Brush Bar is honestly genius, and I don’t know how I’ve survived without it in my life. Don’t be like me, clean your makeup brushes. If you want to try The Brush Bar, Mengju was sweet enough to give you guys a discount code – BROKEBLONDE15 for 15% off your first purchase! (I receive no commission from this whatsoever, it is just to help ya out) :). I did receive The Brush Bar products at no cost, but all opinions are my own and 10000% honest.

Not only does this brand have the best freaking name on the market, but it is one I have been wanting to try for so long. As one broke blonde, I cannot afford to buy $90 night cream or $70 oil. However, since one of my resolutions this year is to find a skincare regime I swear by, I hope I can try out at least one product eventually! I have heard nothing but great things about Drunk Elephant so I’m really eager to try it out! Plus once I give it a shot I can try to find some affordable dupes because that’s how your girl rolls πŸ˜‰

I feel like I am so late to the Ouai train, but I have heard nothing but rave reviews about this brand. I can’t believe I haven’t tried it yet!! Haircare is another thing I tend to put on the back burner that I want to start getting more into. I’ve used so many texturizing sprays and hair oils but nothing has thoroughly impressed me, so I’m excited to see if I find what I’m looking for in Ouai! I really want to try the cult fave Wave Spray, the Treatment Masque, and Rose Hair and Body Oil just to name a few πŸ™‚ If you’re a fan of Ouai let me know what I should try!!

Staying on the topic of haircare, Love Beauty & Planet is another brand I would love to try! It’s super affordable and available at one of the best stores on the planet (Target). What’s awesome about this brand is that while the shampoo and conditioners make your hair look and smell amazing, the brand is using recycled materials to shrink our carbon footprint AND the products are made without parabens, silicone, it’s vegan, and all other sorts of good stuff. It pretty much sounds like it’s gonna make my hair really happy and healthy. I don’t know about you, but I plan on heading over to Target asap πŸ™‚

Since I’m super nosy, I would love to know what you’re looking forward to trying out this year! I think it’s 100% cool and well deserved to spoil yourself with something you’ve had your eye on for a while, and this is the year for that! If you’ve tried out anything I mentioned let me know in the comments! πŸ™‚

Happy March!! The fact that it’s getting closer to spring is making me soooo happy. Spring weather and spring vibes are my favorite (besides summer vibes, of course). I just love the feeling of renewal and warm spring air. The flowers start to bloom and the sun shines bright and it’s totally acceptable to drink iced coffee all the time πŸ˜‰ Since today is the beginning of a new month, that means it’s favorites time!! Today I’m going to be sharing my favorite things from the month of February from all different categories! There’s a lot to get through because I love a lot of things hehe πŸ™‚ so let’s hop on into my February loves πŸ™‚

FASHION

The month of February was an entire 28 days of feeling lazy and just wanting to be comfy. So you’ll notice that mostly all my fashion faves for the month are comfortable pieces, and also gray because I still love gray…that has not changed πŸ˜‰ The weather here in Jersey in February was pretty strange. Some days were freezing and some days were 60+!! I was kinda over wearing sweaters and jeans so I resorted to sweats, leggings, and comfy tees πŸ™‚ I promise in March I’ll step up my fashion game πŸ™‚

Sneakers have been my go-to shoe in February. They’re so easy and comfy and that to me is a perfect combination. I love how these Adidas sneakers go with everything! They look adorable with jeans and make a loungey outfit look a little more put together πŸ™‚

Bralettes are hands down my favorite thing to wear as far as intimates go. They are way much more comfortable than a regular bra, and as an added bonus you can let them peek through your shirt to add a cute little touch to your outfit πŸ™‚ I also love how many variations of bralettes there are! Some are more sexy and lacey and some are simple and chic. You can’t go wrong with any and these two have been worn to the max in February for me! I love wearing the black lacey bralette under white v-necks and having it poke out a little with some dainty necklaces; it looks sooo cute and it’s one of my fave looks at the moment πŸ™‚ The gray bralette is super adorable with the glitter band detail. I prefer to wear this one under sweatshirts, but you do you girl, you wear your bralettes how you please πŸ™‚

Hoodies and sweatshirts that are stylish and comfy are staples for me. This mint green hoodie is not only super soft and comfy but it’s so adorable. Whenever I wear this I get compliments on it πŸ™‚ It has some distressed details as well which I think add a little something extra to an otherwise basic piece. Mint green is also a huge color for the upcoming spring season, so I’m preparing early πŸ˜‰

As I’ve mentioned in a previous post, I have a mild obsession for graphic tees πŸ™‚ I just think they are so fun and they are a great way to incorporate your personality into an outfit! I got this very cute (and very accurate) tee about a year ago so unfortunately it isn’t available anymore, but you can get a super similar one here!!

Sweatpants have been my best friend in February. Granted, I love sweats all the time no matter what the month or weather but I was feeling extra lazy this past month in particular πŸ˜‰ I think that if you find yourself a good few pairs of stylish sweats and you pair them with cute sneakers and an oversized tee or jean jacket then that is just as cute and put together as dressing up, but you’re comfy! I purchased these marled gray sweats from Charlotte Russe and they are by far the most comfortable sweatpants I have ever put on my body. I could absolutely wear them every single day if that was acceptable. They were super affordable, too! I can’t rave about them enough πŸ™‚

BEAUTY

For me, February was the month that I tried out a lot of new beauty products and found some that I am going to be using for a very long time. I ordered the Carli Bybel BH Cosmetics paletteΒ from Ulta as soon as it came back in stock (end of January, early February). I am so happy I got it because it is such a beautiful palette. The eyeshadows are so creamy and pigmented, and the highlighters make me feel like a shimmery fairy princess. It’s also insanely affordable which is what sold me on getting it! I am thoroughly impressed with this palette and will be creating some killer spring looks with it πŸ™‚ Another affordable palette I’ve been obsessed with is the Lorac California Dreaming palette! Lorac has some of the most incredible bronzers and highlighters out there, so when I found out they created a palette using my favorite products I was sold. This palette gives me the perfect beachy glow which is awesome for my pale self in the middle of winter πŸ™‚ Β As I mentioned in my Winky Lux post, I have been IN LOVE with the Diamond Complexion Powder. Like super in love. It’s so creamy and gives my face a flawless finish with a bit of glow and shine. It’s amazing and you need to get it and try it out! The Pixi by Petra Lower Lash Mascara has been another game changer for me. It makes applying lower lash mascara way easier and less messy, but it also works great as a regular mascara too! The small brush separates and lengthens lashes making your lashes look long and beautiful. I usually pair a thicker mascara on top to make my lashes stand out even more! Finally, the brush that has given me a flawless face for months now is the IT Cosmetics Complexion Perfection Brush #7. I received this brush a while ago actually but only recently have I fell in love with it. This brush gives my complexion the most flawless look and applies makeup so beautifully! It’s the first brush I reach for when I do my makeup and has been for the last month πŸ™‚

SKINCARE

Unfortunately only recently have I been getting into skincare products, but now that I am I haven’t looked back. Relazing that taking care of your skin is super important is incredibly crucial. If your skin is glowing and healthy not only will you look good, but you’ll feel even better. You only have one face, so take care of it and make it glow! These five products have been lifesavers for me this past month. All the products have different features, and they all work so well together to give me a fresh, clean face πŸ™‚

Soap & Glory has been an all-time favorite brand for me for such a long time. They have the best skincare/beauty products at such affordable prices. I love love love their body butter and their shower gel smells amazing. What’s even more fantastic is their Vitamin C Facial Wash! I use this in the shower and as soon as I put it on I can feel it working. It makes my skin feel rejuvinated and energized which is perfect for the mornings. Since using this I’ve noticed a significant difference in the appearance of my skin! I after I wash my face in the shower, I use the O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Face Peel. My skin feels super soft after I use this and I love how refreshed it makes me feel as well! I try to use this as much as I can. It recommends twice a day, but sometimes I forget πŸ™‚ If I have a stubborn pimple, the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion has been a godsend for me. I just put some on the pimple, go to sleep, and by morning it’s either gone or significantly reduced in size! This stuff is magic in a bottle. Face masks are treats I like to give my skin about once a week. My top pick for February has been the Global Beauty Wash Off Mud Mask! If you want healthy looking skin, this is the way to go! It’s really affordable and it works so well. It’s creamy and when I wash it off my skin glows! The final step to my skincare routine has been the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel. I apply this right before I do my makeup and instantly my skin feels and looks bright and healthy. It soothes my skin and gives such a fresh feeling. I love using this in the morning to wake up my skin, and it works so well!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and found some new products to check out!! February has been a crazy month for me, but I promise I will start posting more regularly in the upcomping months πŸ™‚ I would love to know some of your favorite things! Leave them in the comments below! πŸ™‚
