One thing that many women have in common is the love of being tan. There is just something so satisfying and confidence booting about having a glow. Being a naturally fair-skinned girl, I tend to gravitate towards self tanners more and more this time of year. Tanning beds are a huge no-no for me because 1.) I would severely burn and 2.) IT IS SO UNSAFE. A much safer, cheaper, and easier alternative to tanning beds is self tanning! I have been in love with self tanning for quite some time. When I first started I was orange and splotchy and very far from the bronze goddess look I was going for. Since those frightful days I have learned quite a bit about self tanning and the important steps it takes to achieve a stunning, natural-looking glow! I have tried MANY self tanners throughout my tanning journey. Some have failed miserably, and some I fell in love with. Today I’m going to be sharing with you guys my most recent tanning obsession!

This post is not sponsored or affiliated with Tarte in any way. I bought these products with my own money and all opinions are my own 🙂

Tarte is in my top ten favorite makeup brands of all time. Not only are their products high-quality, but their prices are fair and pretty affordable! My fav self tanner at the moment has been Tarte‘s Glow With the Faux Foaming Self Tanner.  I prefer foaming tanners over lotion because it’s easier to see what you’re doing, and you usually get instant color. What I love about Tarte’s take on the foaming cleanser is how dark it is, its’ smooth consistency, and how well it blends and applies! There is nothing worse than a blotchy, uneven tan, and if applied correctly this tanner comes out perfect every time! Now I say “if applied correctly” because there are precautions to take when applying self tanner. You need to make sure your skin is shaved, exfoliated, and ready to go! Another amazing thing about this self tanner in particular is that it come with a super adorable/soft/awesome tanning mitt to make your life easier and your hands stain free. It’s more important than you think to use a tanning mitt rather than your hand. The mitt is designed to apply the foam flawlessly, without leaving your hands stained and orange. So make sure you put on that mitt before you apply your tanner!

                                                                                                    Before tan!

Self tanners can sometimes be harsh on the face causing you to breakout or become splotchy. To prevent that from happening I use the Brazilliance Face Tanning Wipes also by Tarte. These wipes are designed specifically for the face so they’re gentle on all skin types! The tan develops over time, so there isn’t any color payoff which is kind of a bummer. But honestly the lack of instant color is worth it if I don’t get zits in return!

After tan! Look at that glow 😎

I hope this post gave your guys some tanning tips and inspiration!! I cannot wait for the warmer weather all the time so I can lay out and get a natural tan! Until then, self tanning will do the trick just fine 😉 What are your favorite self tanners? I would love to know in the comments! I’m always open to try new products!

Get your glow on, babes.

Spring is FINALLY here! Which means that a lot of spring shopping is to be done 🙂 I prefer to shop online because there’s just something so exciting about getting packages! I also found that there are a lot of awesome online stores that aren’t available to shop at in person! If you’re like me and love online shopping, here are a few of my fave stores that are also super affordable!! 🌷🌞🌸

Brandy Melville $3-80 : Brandy is a store that I have loved shopping at for years now. I love that their clothes are super soft and really nice quality. Every piece of clothing is so comfortable, and most of their pieces are basics so they can be paired with a bunch of different outfits! The only downside is that most of Brandy’s pieces are one size only which usually fits size X-Small/Small. I fit into the tops, but their jeans and non-stretchy bottoms are not made for girls with booties like myself. 😂 However, if you are a size 0-2 you should fit into their bottoms well! Brandy has specific locations, none of which are near me unfortunately. PacSun carries some of Brandy’s products so if you have one near you you should definitely check it out!

A’GACI $1.99-79.99: So I’ve be high-key stalking this website for weeks now. I recently discovered it and I’ve been obsessed. I haven’t purchased anything yet because there are so many cute pieces I can’t decide what I want! I will absolutely be having a shopping spree from this store very soon and when I do you can expect a haul/review! I love that A’GACI keeps up with the latest trends, but also stays at a very affordable price range! The clothes seem to be good quality and I can’t wait to order a few things!

Princess Polly $14.70-320.00: Princess Polly has made a huge splash recently. So many bloggers and YouTubers alike have been raving about this Australian boutique and I am jumping right onto that bandwagon. Princess Polly can get a little pricy, but their sale section is everything. Their new arrivals and other clothes are pretty reasonably priced, but it’s not a place I would recommend going on a huge spree unless you have the dough for it! Nevertheless the clothes are absolutely adorable and I’m so excited to get a few pieces here and there 🙂

MakeMeChic $8.50-68.00: MakeMeChic is an online wholesale store that offers really affordable and trendy clothes, shoes and accessories! I have not purchased anything from this store, but they have a lot of really cute items and the prices are unbeatable!

SheIn (overall suuuuper affordable): SheIn is another wholesale website that a lot of bloggers and YouTubers rave about. I have yet to order anything from their site, but if you’re in the market for some new, trendy spring clothes this is the place to go! Everything on the site is insanely affordable, which also means that the quality may be lacking for some items so make sure you check the reviews before purchasing! 🙂

I hope this post has inspired you to do some spring shopping the affordable way 🙂 Also if you download Honey into your browser it automatically finds coupons and deals for the site you’re on to save you even more money! How awesome is that?? I’m so excited to do some spring shopping myself and share my findings with you guys! Until next time, happy shopping! Let me know you’re fave affordable stores in the comments! I’m always interested to learn about new places 🙂

Sooo Valentine’s Day is today, and some people are really excited and some are pretending the day doesn’t exist. No matter how you feel about this holiday, you deserve to celebrate and make it a great day whether you’re single or taken. I know that Valentine’s Day is the worst day of the year for some people, and to others it’s like Christmas only with more flowers and chocolates. This year, I hope everyone has a wonderful day despite any circumstances, and makes it the best ever. If you have a honey to celebrate with or even just some friends or even just you and your couch, here are some last minute ideas in case you’re stuck in panic mode with no plans 🙂

For Couples

Make Dinner at Home: Romantic, fancy dinners are lovely, but making memories in the comfort of your kitchen is even better. The two of you can cook up a recipe you’ve been dying to try, or maybe a favorite of yours. No matter what you make, it’ll be special and wonderful because it was made with love by both of you and you’ll have fun making it too! Not only will you be saving money, but you’ll be giggling and creating something with your love and honestly, what’s better than that? 🙂

Here are some recipes from my Pinterest board for some even more inspiration!

Build a Fort & Watch Movies: We all have a five-year-old inside of us that loves making forts and watching movies on the floor with a bunch of pillows. Why not bring out the inner child in both of you and create the most epic pillow/blanket fort of all time. You can order some food, make snacks, gather all your blankets and pillows, watch your fave movie and cuddle all night.

Explore: If you don’t have dinner plans, and you and your bae aren’t in the mood to cook but don’t know where to eat, then play the left-right game. Essentially, you start off somewhere and go back and forth deciding when to turn right and when to turn left (no using your gps unless you get super lost) until you end up somewhere you’ve never been or stumble upon a restaurant you’ve never heard of. This is a super fun idea, especially if you and your babe are the adventurous type 🙂 Who knows, you might find your favorite new spot!

For Friends

Have a Party: If you and all your friends are single ladies, then there is no better way to celebrate a day of love than with your girls. Have all your friends over, tell them to dress up and have a fancy feast or wear pjs and order out! Whatever you decide to do, make sure you have fun and no that friends are just as wonderful valentines as a significant other 🙂

Have a Spa Day: Manis, pedis, face masks, comfy pjs, wine, and all the best movies and pizza out there. Have a spa day/night with your girls to help unwind and forget about all your troubles. Ulta offers some really affordable masks, and you can also find other reasonably priced spa essentials there as well! Go grab yourself some supplies and relax the night away!

Go Out for a Fancy Meal: You don’t need a bae to wear a hot dress out to a fancy dinner. Grab your girlfriends, tell them to wear their hottest outfit, and spoil yourselves with a fab dinner. You can all treat one another and have the elaborate date you deserve with the ones who will always have your back.

For Yourself

Don’t Diet: Don’t worry about the calories, don’t count the carbs. Eat all the chocolate you want, all the wine you need, and all the pizza you deserve. You have the right to eat and drink as much as you want (without getting sick of course), without feeling down about yourself. Let loose, relax, and eat the extra slice of pizza. You’re perfect the way you are and you absolutely deserve it.

Go Shopping: Valentine’s Day is a day full of love, and who better to love and spoil than yourself. Take the day to splurge a little and buy an outfit that makes you feel amazing. Get that highlighter that makes you feel like a goddess. You need to love yourself before you can love anyone else, so take time to be comfortable in your skin and get that me time you need!

Relax: You know that bubble bath you’ve been dying to take but haven’t had time? Now is the time. Go to Lush, buy that bath bomb, and use it for an incredibly relaxing experience. Everyone needs to “me-time” and there is no better day to relax the night away in the tub than Valentine’s Day tbh. You can light some candles, play music, grab your favorite book, and soak into the colors of the tub. Pretend your a mermaid or go completely zen. Whatever you decide, relax and enjoy!

I hope that you all have a fantastic Valentine’s Day filled with lots of love! Remember, this day is not about flowers, chocolates, or gifts. It’s about celebrating the people we love each and every day 🙂 Let me know what you guys are planning on doing tonight! I hope this post inspired someone and you have the best Valentine’s Day yet 🙂

The holidays have been over and done with for almost a month now, can you believe it?! Before we know it it’ll be summer, which honestly can’t come soon enough. With the holiday season coming to a close comes a lot of sales, and a lot of shopping. You guys know that I’m a sucker for both of those things. When I know a sale is going on at my favorite stores, I have to stock up on the things I’ve had my eye on for a while 😉 Recently I did some shopping at American Eagle, UrbanOG, Nordstrom Rack, and Forever 21! Here’s what I picked up 🙂 I am IN LOVE with everything I bought, so thankfully there is no buyers remorse because that’s just the worst.

As you guys know I prefer to show you guys what my purchases look like styled on me, but for this quick post I decided to just share the online pics and links with you. I hope this post gave you some fashion inspiration! I’ll see you soon with a new post!

Hello blogging world! It has been far too long since I last posted, and I’m really sad about it 🙁 I hope you all had an amazing holiday! December has been such a crazy month, and I’ve also been quite sick. Thankfully I’m much better now, and I hope to get onto a regular blogging schedule for the new year! Speaking of the new year which is approaching rather quickly, I decided to talk about my favorite trends of 2016!!

One of my favorite things about fashion is the ability to change your style depending on the trends, your mood, your personality, and the world around you. 2016 has brought us some pretty awesome trends that I personally hope stick around for a while 🙂 Here are some of my favorites at affordable prices because that’s the kind of girl I am 😉

This is one of my favoriteeee trends of the year by far. Although velvet hit the runway and stores towards the end of the year, it has definitely become a huge hit in a short amount of time. Here are some of my favorite velvet pieces!

I don’t know about anyone else, but this is such a nostalgic trend for me. When I was about 9 or 10 years old I used to rock the heck out of choker necklaces. I would sleep in them, wear them with any and all outfits even if it didn’t match; I basically never took it off. When chokers came back in style this year I was completely ecstatic. I own about 100 now, and I plan to wear them well into the new year even if no one else does.

I literally wore this every day

Suede is a trend that I have been in love with from the beginning. I think it screams fall and winter, and it adds a bit of cozy texture to an outfit. However, the only downfall is that suede cannot (and should not) be worn in the rain, especially if it’s authentic. Stains in suede are not fun, but the trend itself is which is why the risk is worth it 🙂

Mauve/Baby Pink

Hands down my favorite trend of the entire year. Blush pink has quickly become my favorite/go-to color. It’s feminine and sweet, but also classy and sexy at the same time. I can’t tell you how many items of this color I own, but I’m not mad about it at all.

Oversized Sweaters

The coziest trend of them all. I am absolutely guilty of own way too many oversized sweater, but I can’t help myself. Somehow I keep buying more even though I know I don’t need them. I just can’t resist the soft, cozy, snuggly feeling of being in giant sweater. It’s one of the best feelings ever, really. I usually buy my sweaters a size or two up from my usual size to ensure that it’s oversized and snuggly.
