It’s Memorial Day which means summer is right around the corner!! Summer is my favorite season for a lot of reasons, and one of them is the fact that I have an obsession with buying bathing suits. It’s not really a “problem” per say, because over the years I have acquired a pretty extensive collection. Through my bikini shopping, I’ve found some that I die over and immediately buy, and then there are some that are adorable but SO FREAKING EXPENSIVE. I can understand why purses, shoes, jackets, and even sunglasses can be pricy…but something that you only wear for a few months out of the year that doesn’t contain much material I can’t wrap my mind around spending a lot on. So last summer when I saw this bathing suit online on Urban Outfitter’s website I fell in love with it, but then noticed the price. I just couldn’t let myself spend $72 on a bathing suit, especially one that I couldn’t try on beforehand and made sure I loved! So I sadly removed it from my cart, but constantly looked for a dupe everywhere. And then I found one. I found a dupe for this bathing suit I adore and it’s half the price!! It’s so cute and whether or not American Eagle meant to recreate this bathing suit they did an awesome job. I haven’t boughten it yet, but I plan on doing so and when I do you can bet I’ll post all about it 🙂

Aerie Piping One-Piece Swimsuit
I told you I wasn’t kidding when I said I found a cheaper alternative 😉 These bathing suits are so similar only one costs $72 and the other is $35!! I’m so excited to get this suit and do a review on it as well as some style tips! I hope this post gave you some inspiration and you’re as excited about this style steal as I am 🙂 The Aerie suit comes in four different colors as well! I have a lot of fun summer posts planned so make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss any of the excitement (or random style steals ;))
Hey babes! Long time no chat 🙁 Today I am sharing with you a super easy and really adorable spring outfit idea complete with hair and makeup 🙂 Although here in NJ the weather is a bit spazzy right now, spring is coming soon and I seriously can’t wait.
I have been kind of in love with tunics lately. Especially this one from American Eagle 😍 It’s sooo comfy, soft, and makes creating an adorable outfit so easy. I got mine on sale for a really good price, so I would recommend waiting until AE has a sale going on (which they almost always d0), or you can splurge a little on this piece because it’s totally worth it. I decided to keep this look super casual and I just paired it with some distressed denim shorts underneath since it does have some high slits on the side. I finished the look with my white Vans and I was ready to take on the day! This outfit is really causal, but trendy and put together as well which is why I love it so much. You could absolutely dress up the look with some mules, booties, or wedges! My sunnies are from Quay, probably my FAVE brand to get sunglasses honestly. They are such good quality and they are still pretty affordable for the beautiful glasses you get!
I haven’t talked about it yet on here (so if you want to see a blog post about it let me know), but recently I chopped off quite a bit of my hair. It was time and I wanted to do something fresh and different for the upcoming warmer months. I have been loving my short hair, especially with lose waves! I don’t really have a science behind it. I just use my Conair Curling Wand and take random sections and wrap them around the barrel. *To achieve a messy, beachy look make sure you leave a bit of hair on the ends uncurled so it falls and looks more natural*
My spring makeup look has been very natural and glowy! I’ve been obsessed with the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Palette! It has stunning eyeshadows for spring and awesome highlighters as well! I also used the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream to give my skin a natural, hydrated glow. For concealer I used my Nars Radient Creamy Concealer and have been loving using it on it’s own as well! If you haven’t tried the Maneater mascara by Tarte you are SERIOUSLY missing out. It makes my lashes insanely long and luscious which is perfect for a flirty spring look 🙂 I finished off my makeup with a mauvey lip-stain!
I hope this post gave you some inspiration and made you excited for the upcoming warm weather! A lot of fun posts are coming so make sure you stick around 😉 You can subscribe to One Broke Blonde and follow my social channels to stay connected on the latest trends (and I’m also just a pretty rad gal).
