Best Trends of 2016!!

Hello blogging world! It has been far too long since I last posted, and I’m really sad about it 🙁 I hope you all had an amazing holiday! December has been such a crazy month, and I’ve also been quite sick. Thankfully I’m much better now, and I hope to get onto a regular blogging schedule for the new year! Speaking of the new year which is approaching rather quickly, I decided to talk about my favorite trends of 2016!!

One of my favorite things about fashion is the ability to change your style depending on the trends, your mood, your personality, and the world around you. 2016 has brought us some pretty awesome trends that I personally hope stick around for a while 🙂 Here are some of my favorites at affordable prices because that’s the kind of girl I am 😉

Velvet

This is one of my favoriteeee trends of the year by far. Although velvet hit the runway and stores towards the end of the year, it has definitely become a huge hit in a short amount of time. Here are some of my favorite velvet pieces!

Chokers

I don’t know about anyone else, but this is such a nostalgic trend for me. When I was about 9 or 10 years old I used to rock the heck out of choker necklaces. I would sleep in them, wear them with any and all outfits even if it didn’t match; I basically never took it off. When chokers came back in style this year I was completely ecstatic. I own about 100 now, and I plan to wear them well into the new year even if no one else does.

Suede 

Suede is a trend that I have been in love with from the beginning. I think it screams fall and winter, and it adds a bit of cozy texture to an outfit. However, the only downfall is that suede cannot (and should not) be worn in the rain, especially if it’s authentic. Stains in suede are not fun, but the trend itself is which is why the risk is worth it 🙂

Mauve/Baby Pink

Hands down my favorite trend of the entire year. Blush pink has quickly become my favorite/go-to color. It’s feminine and sweet, but also classy and sexy at the same time. I can’t tell you how many items of this color I own, but I’m not mad about it at all.

Oversized Sweaters

The coziest trend of them all. I am absolutely guilty of own way too many oversized sweater, but I can’t help myself. Somehow I keep buying more even though I know I don’t need them. I just can’t resist the soft, cozy, snuggly feeling of being in giant sweater. It’s one of the best feelings ever, really. I usually buy my sweaters a size or two up from my usual size to ensure that it’s oversized and snuggly.
