Sup babes! In the sticky summer months frizzy hair is Β inevitable, so haircare is extra important. I love the look of healthy, glowing hair, and with these products I can achieve that! The best part about these products is that they are all under $20!! If you haven’t tried these out yet I highly recommend you do!

Β My hair is like my child. I take pride in how it looks and taking care of it is something extremely important to me, especially in the summer. I recently discovered this amazing brand, Eva NYC. I can’t believe my hair has managed to survive without it tbh. Not only do their products make your hair feel and look magical, but they are a company based on women empowerment and the duality of real women. And their products smell freakin’ INSANE. Like if I could bottle the scent and make it into a perfume I would in a heartbeat. And guess what, Eva NYC is more accessible than ever because their products are now sold at Ulta!! Make sure you head to your nearest store to pick up these goodies πŸ™‚ Here are some of my favorite products from Eva NYC!!

Therapy Session Hair Mask $14.99:Β When I say to you that this stuff is like a creamy, magical experience I’m not exaggerating in the least bit. I got this product only a few weeks ago and I’m already halfway through it! You can use it as a daily conditioner (which is what I do because I love the way it smells and how soft my hair is afterwards), or you can use it as a hair mask a few times a week and leave it in your hair while you do your shower routine. Either way this product is fantastic and I want a lifetime supply.

Mane Magic 10-In-1 Primer $11.99:Β Since I started using this people haven’t stopped complimenting how amazing my hair smells and how shiny and soft it looks! This super lightweight primer does 10 amazing things at one time. It detangles, nourishes, strengthens, cuts drying time, adds shine, reduces frizz and protects against uv rays. Literally, what more could you ask for??

Freshen Up Dry Shampoo $11.99:Β Generally dry shampoo isn’t my favorite haircare product. For some reason I feel like since my hair is so fine, it never really gives me the volume I’m looking for. This dry shampoo is hands-down the best I’ve ever tried. It makes my un-washed hair look refreshed, clean, and voluminous. Some dry shampoos leave a white residue which is not cute in the least bit, but Freshen Up Dry Shampoo leaves not a trace behind! Another reason I love it so much is the ingredients. Lately I’ve been more cautious about what I put in and on my body, and I’m happy to know that this dry shampoo has natural rice starch instead of talc or aluminum like other dry shampoos. It also has Vitamin C which enhances shine, moisturizes, and strengthens my hair all in one spray!!

Surfs Up! Texture Spray $11.99:Β I try to go heatless on my hair in the summer months as much as possible, that’s why a texture spray is my bff for creating effortless waves! This surf spray is packed with vitamins to make your hair shiny, give it lasting volume, and repair any damage.

Purse Perfect Hair Towelettes $14.99:Β I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t tried this out yet, but it looks like the coolest thing ever and I definitely need to get my hands on it ASAP. It’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever heard of and I’m surprised more brands don’t make these! When you’re out and about and you feel like your hair is going cray just whip out your Purse Perfect Hair Towelettes and smooth down any frizz or flyaways with the serum-infused wipes! Absolutely a summer essential if you ask me πŸ˜‰

I hope this post has inspired you to give your hair some lovin’ with Eva NYC!! Make sure you head to your nearest Ulta to see all the goodies Eva NYC has to offer πŸ™‚ Leave a comment below telling me your favorite haircare brand! Talk to you sooooon.

Thank you Eva NYC for sending me the Freshen Up Dry Shampoo!! All other products were purchased with my own money and of course all opinions are my own and genuine πŸ™‚

If there is one thing I am extraordinary great at; it’s shopping. I take pride in my skills of saving money, waiting for sales, and outsmarting stores by waiting for that dress I’m dying to have to get its price lowered a little. Even though I like to think of myself as an avid shopper and Queen of Steals I definitely fall into the trap of aesthetically pleasing things that I just don’t need, will never actually wear, or will promise myself I’ll use and never do. Here are the tricks I have learned throughout the years, and some tips on how to save money while shopping!

  1. Can You Dupe It? 99% of the time affordable stores like Forever 21, Windsor, Zaful, MakeMeChic, etc. feature styles that are essentially copycat of more expensive brands. If the item you’re dying to have is way out of your price range, check affordable places for similar styles, and chances are, they’ll have them! Sometimes quality is compromised when you go for cheaper alternatives, but if it’s a trendy item you probably won’t wear more then a few times then no harm, no foul πŸ˜‰ Here is one of my personal favorite dupes!

Zaful Tie-Front Bikini Set: $12.99 vs.Β Frankies Bikinis Greer Set $170

Β  Β  Β 2. Β The Outfit Test.Β This tactic has actually saved me from spending my money on A LOT of things. When I’m doing my usual daily online browsing and see something I love, I think to myself…is this something I can only wear in a certain season? Am I still going to like next year? Will I really wear it more than 5 times? If the answer is no, then I don’t buy it. If the answer is yes then I try to envision the outfit varieties I can make with the piece and really think if it’s worth it.

Β 3. Check Nordstrom Rack.Β Nordstrom Rack is basically the best store that was ever created. I can spend HOURS in there browsing all the amazing deals they have! Whenever I want something from a brand I generally can’t afford i.e. Free People, PAIGE, Wildfox, Jeffrey Campbell, etc. I always check Nordstrom Rack to see if it’s available there for a much better price! Sometimes the exact item I’m looking for isn’t available, but I always find something I like πŸ™‚ Here are some of my faves from Nordstrom Rack!

Β  Β  Β  4. Go to Sale Section First!Β I’ve mentioned this in a post before, but 99% of the time the sale section is where it’s at. It’s very hard to bypass all the beautiful newness a store has to offer, but if you are online shopping it’s much easier, trust me. The first thing I do when I online shop is I go right to the sale section, especially for stores that are more pricy. Don’t think that because it’s the sale section the items won’t be cute. Chances are they’re there in the first place because the store had the items WAY overpriced, and no one in their right mind would spend that. But you were the smartypants who waited for the item to go on sale and saved a buttload of money! Go you πŸ˜‰ Here are some of my favorite places with KILLER sale sections and pricy non-sale items lolol.

Β  Β  Β  Β 5. Plan What You Need.Β If there is anyone on this planet who is guilty of impulse buys it’s this girl. Even though I am on a budget and don’t have $75 to spend on shoes…I do sometimes. But hey, we have all been there at one point or another and I’m definitely working on my problem. To avoid this happening to you though, make sure before you go shopping you know what you need and you only have eyes for that. So when you see those beautiful $200+ purses in the window, know that you DO NOT NEED IT. Unless you like really do and that’s what you went to the mall for in the first place, but you get my point. Try your hardest to only get what you went for and nothing else. It might even help if you only bring a certain amount of cash with you and no credit or debit cards, so once you’re out of money you’re out.

I hope at least one person found these tips helpful, and I could save you some time and money! Let me know if you want more posts with advice like this! I would love to do them πŸ™‚

Happy Summer!! It feels sooo good to be blogging again πŸ™‚ My schedule the past few weeks has been crazy. I never mentioned this on my blog before, but during the school year I’m a preschool teacher and at night I’m a server, so I wasn’t able to focus on my blog as much as I would have liked. The school year is over now, which means more time for doing what I love!! It feels amazing to be able to sit here and type again <3 I’m coming at you with a post I’m really excited about πŸ™‚ So you know how people tend to stalk their favorite celebs and people on Instagram? Well I am also guilty of that…only I stalk the Instagram of little online shops. I LOVE finding online stores that offer unique pieces that also cater to my style! It’s what I live for. When I stumble upon a new store online I become so excited and I want to buy everything. But since I am One Broke Blonde that can’t happen, but a girl can dream πŸ˜‰ An online store that I am currently obsessed with is Love Street Apparel. They seriously have THE cutest things, and they are pretty affordable as well!! I recently caved and ordered some pieces from them and let me tell you, I am in love with what I got. No lie, I’ve received soooo many compliments on these shoes (and the dress as well), that I decided I had to make a post about this adorable shop! The best part? The shoes were only $25!!

I am all about the platform sandals. I used to rock them so hard when I was in second-fifth grade. *Fun fact: when I was around 10 I owned a pair of shoes similar to these, and decided to run around my yard in them and I ended up breaking my ankle. It’s actually not that “fun” of a fact, but it’s humorous to look back on, and I swore to myself that I will not run in these shoes or break any more bones due to fashion malfunctions. On the brighter side though, these shoes compared to the ones of my younger days are incredibly comfortable! I wore them all day long on a day full of picnics and walking around and at the end of the day my feet weren’t aching a bit. They have an awesome amount of support, and the gold rim detailing around the platform is everything. They aren’t too high that it looks like you’re trying to channel your inner disco diva, but they do add the perfect amount of lift to make your legs look long and lean. I seriously can not rave about these shoes enough! They are the perfect summer shoe and you need to get them ASAP. I believe that Love Street Apparel is currently sold out of the shoes, but if you leave your email address they’ll notify you as soon as they go back in stock! πŸ™‚

I have mentioned this many times before, but outfits that are stylish AND comfy are my life. Recently I got this adorable t-shirt from Amuse Society and I’m so in love with it. It’s super comfy, and it has a cheeky little saying which makes it extra fun πŸ˜‰ I honestly feel the most like myself when I’m wearing an outfit that’s fun and comfortable. Graphic tees have been my jam for years and I will always love them even if they go out of style one day (which I hope never happens!). Amuse Society is a little bit pricier than I normally spend on graphic tees, but I get sooo much use out of it and wear it so much! It’s so soft, I could wear it all day every day if that was acceptable. I have paired this tee so many different ways. I almost always tie it up in a cute knot and then pair it with denim shorts, a skirt, jeans, overalls, the list goes on! Here I paired it with some of the softest denim shorts in the world from American Eagle. I know American Eagle can be expensive sometimes, but right now they’re having an AMAZING sale going on!! You know your girl is all about those sales πŸ˜‰ I finished off this look with picture-perfect wedges from Luca + Grae! I personally think these were a great price for how beautifully well-made they are, and how comfy! Honestly, I have yet to come across a pair of wedges or heels that don’t kill my feet so I think it’s okay to spend a little more on shoes for that reason. I hope this outfit inspires you and gets you ready for summer which is coming sooo quickly! I have a lot of fun posts coming so make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss and deals or cute outfits πŸ˜‰

It’s Memorial Day which means summer is right around the corner!! Summer is my favorite season for a lot Β of reasons, and one of them is the fact that I have an obsession with buying bathing suits. It’s not really a “problem” per say, because over the years I have acquired a pretty extensive collection. Through my bikini shopping, I’ve found some that I die over and immediately buy, and then there are some that are adorable but SO FREAKING EXPENSIVE. I can understand why purses, shoes, jackets, and even sunglasses can be pricy…but something that you only wear for a few months out of the year that doesn’t contain much material I can’t wrap my mind around spending a lot on. So last summer when I saw this bathing suit online on Urban Outfitter’s website I fell in love with it, but then noticed the price. I just couldn’t let myself spend $72 on a bathing suit, especially one that I couldn’t try on beforehand and made sure I loved! So I sadly removed it from my cart, but constantly looked for a dupe everywhere. And then I found one. I found a dupe for this bathing suit I adore and it’s half the price!! It’s so cute and whether or not American Eagle meant to recreate this bathing suit they did an awesome job. I haven’t boughten it yet, but I plan on doing so and when I do you can bet I’ll post all about it πŸ™‚

Urban Outfitters Out From Under Floral Cutout One-Piece Swimsuit

Aerie Piping One-Piece Swimsuit

I told you I wasn’t kidding when I said I found a cheaper alternative πŸ˜‰ These bathing suits are so similar only one costs $72 and the other is $35!! I’m so excited to get this suit and do a review on it as well as some style tips! I hope this post gave you some inspiration and you’re as excited about this style steal as I am πŸ™‚ The Aerie suit comes in four different colors as well! I have a lot of fun summer posts planned so make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss any of the excitement (or random style steals ;))
